Clermont Garden Club was honored to have Trish Deer, aka, “Queen Bee, ” as the guest speaker, Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
Trish, her son, daughter, and sister all work to produce and sell the raw honey products at Happy Bee Honey Farm. They carry a vast assortment of flavored honeys. The flavors range from spicy to fruity to floral. Happy Bee Honey has no filtering or pasteuring.
Raw honey has many benefits. One ounce of honey contains about 20 Vitamins, 16 minerals, 18 amino acids, and a multitude of antioxidants. Raw local honey can be an immune booster, anti-inflammatory agent, digestive aid, improve your gut, and is great for sore throats among many other benefits.
Happy Bee Honey’s staff work in the bee hives without protective clothing, and the bees don’t attack or sting. Trish explained that bees attack when threatened.
The audience was thrilled with the tremendous amount of Knowledge gained from Trish’s bee presentation. Members and guests also had an opportunity to sample and purchase the different flavored honeys.
