Located on the outskirts of Paris is the Palace of Versailles. Created by Andre Le Notre, the gardens of Versailles with their parterres, groves, statues, and fountains are a perfect example of French formal gardens. Although, the gardens are enormous, they are only 1/3 of their original size. However, the gardens are still magnificent.
