Clermont Garden Club had its Annual End of the Year Luncheon Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Clermont Garden Club’s clubhouse, 849 West Avenue, Clermont, Florida 34711.
Clermont Garden Club members and guests gathered together for a delicious meal catered by Clermont Garden Club member, Carol Walker and hosted by Mary Adams, Clermont Garden Club member, and Gwen Carter, Clermont Garden Club First Vice-president.
Outstanding members recognized for 2017 – 2018 were Allice Barrows, Sandi Eckstein, and Elaine Hogan. Cindy Simon and Joan Auletta were recognized as most active new members. Debra Smidt, Clermont Garden Club President presented a hibiscus plant, club’s flower, to each recipient.
Clermont Garden Club members donated a variety of beautiful collectibles to be auctioned to raise money for Wekiva Youth Program, SEEK (Save the Earth through Knowledge), ECHO (Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization), and other garden related charities. Gwen Carter served as auctioneer helping to raise almost $400.
What a great way to end the year.
Clermont Garden Club will begin the 2018 – 2019 Year, with our monthly meeting, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 10 A.M. The meeting will be at the Clermont Garden Club’s clubhouse located at 849 West Avenue, Clermont, Florida 34711.
