Clermont Garden Club members and quests had the opportunity to witness The Art of Japanese Flower Arranging,  “Ikebana,” by Certified Teacher of Ikebana in the school of Sogetsu ,  Irene Gomulka at Clermont Garden Club’s 20171115_112144IMG_5761November 15, 2017 general meeting.

Ms. Gomulka has traveled to Japan and Hawaii to study and exhibit Ikebana.   She is the President of Ikebana International Orlando – Winter Park  Chapter 132, serves as Chairperson of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana Orlando Study Group.   Ms. Gomulka has participated as an Ikebana Artist in the EPCOT International Flower Show, and a member of  CFAA, Creative Flower Arrangers of the Americas

Ms. Gomulka used seasonal flowers and cuttings to arrange designs while describing the techniques used in Ikebana.

Ms. Gomulka’s presentation was very interesting, plus , she gave a wealth of information on Ikebana.

Clermont Garden Club’s General Meeting is every 3rd Wednesday of the month.   The meetings are held at the clubhouse,  849 West Avenue,  Clermont,  Florida 34711.  Meetings begin at 10:00 A.M.   New members and visitors are warmly welcomed.
